(Reuters) -Elon Musk stated on Saturday that his rocket firm SpaceX would proceed to fund its Starlink web service in Ukraine, a day after he stated it might now not afford to take action.

Musk tweeted: “the hell with it … though starlink remains to be dropping cash & different corporations are getting billions of taxpayer $, we’ll simply maintain funding ukraine govt without spending a dime”.

It was not instantly clear whether or not Musk’s provide was real or if he was expressing sarcasm. SpaceX didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.

Musk stated on Friday that SpaceX couldn’t indefinitely fund Starlink in Ukraine. The service has helped civilians and navy keep on-line in the course of the struggle with Russia.

He made his comment after a media report that SpaceX had requested the Pentagon to pay for the donations of Starlink. The billionaire has been in on-line fights with Ukrainian officers over a peace plan he put ahead which Ukraine says is simply too beneficiant to Russia.
